This is great! I recently came across your work via your discussion with Angie Peacock Just started reading your book. I've already read Dr. Mark Horowitz's book, which was super helpful. But really looking forward to reading your book which is less of a textbook and also discussing things from a psychotherapy perspective as well. I've tried to come off of SSRIs 4 times before, each time with more disastrous results. Thankfully I was able to stabilize and now am following a super slow hyperbolic taper. I first tried coming off in 2011 and I had no idea what was going on. I'm beyond grateful for the work you do and others like you... I have hope, finally, that I'll be getting off of these meds. ❤️ I've already added these sessions to my calendar!

I missed the first one because I did not get a link but I am a paid subscriber. Can you check that this is working? See you for the next one, though, because they are now all in my calendar!

Hi Anders, I tapered off four major psych meds over five months in 2020 (SSRI, benzo, mood stabilizer, atypical antipsychotic for a dubious bipolar II diagnosis in 1987). I also did a boatload of ECT in 2018 and 2019.

Unfortunately, I’ve sustained some long-term neurological injuries. I think I’m slowly healing from the protracted withdrawal (BIND?), but I believe I sustained a serious neurological injury from the ECT. The entire right side of my body has some kind of nerve damage, neck and jaw all the way down to my right toes and right arm. It’s very painful. I stopped sleeping properly after an ECT session in 2019. I can’t sleep longer than 2-3 hours.

Have you dealt much with ECT injuries? Anyway, I’m glad I found you. I’ll attend your book series.

I’m a group facilitator for folks tapering or who are off meds in Inner Compass Exchange.

Are you available for consultations on medication management? I would like to speak to someone like you before I start a medication again.
